Artist Statement
Blow Here considers how the feminine is shaped, staged, and sexualized for display.
A glamorous figure sits poised on an inflatable vessel, her beauty framed as both spectacle and expectation. The directive printed on the boat becomes a reversal – nothing about her is meant to be inflated, only the object that carries her.
The image plays with desire and support, asking what structures truly hold the feminine and which ones exploit. It ends at the tension between presentation and personhood: the woman remains intact, but the world around her demands air.
