Artist Statement
This piece observes Hollywood's hierarchy and the quiet power structures that shape who gets seen. The long, leaning figure stands above the factory towers, a posture built from advantage rather than height. The sign points downward, a reminder that the journey often starts below the image we project. Her white hair and white cat blend with the factory smoke, echoing the illusion of a status quo. The cat, usually a symbol of independence, becomes something else here.
