Artist Statement
Wet Floor observes how human fragility is portrayed. Caution signs and indifference. Wet Floor observes how human fragility is staged and managed. The body becomes preserved for display and treated like a spill to be contained. A caution sign offers its hollow reassurance, mirroring the indifference we bring to one another’s collapse. Performance stretches over the surface, but the truth leaks through anyway. The image ends with the question of what we protect more – our safety, or our distance.
